No added sugar is needed.
Ingredients
- 15 Majhol dates (250 gr.)
- 1 green apple
- ½ cup boiled water
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup canola oil
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
Utensils
• Food processor
• 1 bowl
• 2 English cake tins or 1 12-cup muffin tin
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Oil the tins or the muffin tin.
- Soak the pitted dates in boiling water for 10 minutes. Place in the food processor and process until you get a smooth consistency.
- Add the eggs and the oil and mix once more, to a smooth consistency without lumps.
- Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt, and process to an even dough.
- Peel the apple and cut into cubes.
- Transfer the batter into another bowl and mix manually.
- Transfer the whole batter into the tins or muffin tin.
- Bake for 35 minutes (30 minutes for a muffin tin).
