Consequently, efforts and resources were dedicated to the creation of an accessible website that provides a pleasant browsing experience to all users.

The Ministry of Health complies with the accessibility guidelines of Israeli Standard 5568 – " Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" on the same level of the international organization concerned with web standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

Adjustments for blind and visually impaired users

The website is suitable for use with screen reader software and includes:

  • Image-replacement texts
  • A division of the website into navigation areas and a central content area, with the option to jump between them
  • Use of ARIA for improved screen reader interpretation capacity
