Enriched Homemade Granola

No odd-sounding additives, much less fat and sugar, more ingredients rich in minerals and vitamins - this homemade granola is fun to make and eat by ourselves or send to someone we want to cheer

Enriched homemade granola

Ingredients

  • 500 grams (approx. 3 cups) oat flakes
  • ½ cup shelled sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup shelled pumpkin seeds
  • ¼ cup flax seeds
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped cashew nuts
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped almonds
  • 5 tablespoons date honey (date syrup)
  • 4-6 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation

  • Heat the oven to 160 degrees. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Place all the recipe ingredients in a large bowl and mix well until the oat flakes and other ingredients are well greased.
  • Spread the granola on the baking gray in a uniform layer and bake for about 10-15 minutes until it is golden brown.
  • Remove the baking tray from the oven, mix the granola on the tray, return to the oven and bake for about another 10 minutes, until all the granola is nicely browned. If necessary, you can mix it again and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, cool and transfer to a sealed box.

If you want to vary:

You can add any ingredient you like: pecans or hazelnuts, peanuts, pine nuts etc.
You can add raisins or any other dried fruit - after baking.
