For these difficult times, our specialists prepared the FEPC model: a four-step method designed for children and adults that will help us all manage emergencies.

Coping stages according to the model

  1. Focus and express commitment: to prevent feelings of loneliness, convey your commitment and reassure the individual in need of help that you stand by them and will not abandon them.
  2. Encourage effective actions: motivate simple actions, help collect the person's belongings, and organize the surroundings.
  3. Pose simple questions: ask straightforward questions about the situation, such as “are you alone?”, “would you like to call anybody?”
  4. Construct a sequence of events: assist in building a chronological sequence of the events. Describe the event that occurred and has now concluded.
